The ‘International Copyright Technology Conference’, which started in 2011 and celebrates its 14th anniversary this year, is a venue to introduce the latest copyright technology at home and abroad, and to share, discuss, and cooperate with experts from around the world on technical issues in the copyright field.
At this conference, Professor Wonjae Won of Chungnam National University gave a keynote speech on the topic of ‘Copyright technology in the hyper-connected era from a cybersecurity perspective’, and Harrie Teminck of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) Temmink), head of the service, will give a presentation on the topic of ‘Strengthening copyright infrastructure: the case of the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s new copyright plan’.

In the second section (session) ‘The Foundation of Content Creation, Copyright Protection Technology’, we will look at copyright protection technology in the actual digital content industry. ▲ Eric Diehl, Vice President of Sony Pictures Entertainment, spoke on ‘Content Protection’ : Trends and challenges’ were presented, and ▲ Naver Webtoon manager Seo Chung-hyun, INKA Entworks product manager Kim Jun-ho, and Meta researcher Matthijs Douze discussed webtoons, online video services (OTT), and Nuri Communication Network, respectively. In addition, to help the general public better understand copyright protection technology along with on-site presentations by experts, Professor Simon Seongil Woo of Sungkyunkwan University presented ‘Copyright infringement and protection cases using the latest artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology and artificial intelligence (AI) security and Online lectures are also held on the topic of ‘protection issues’.
