Ministry of Culture regrets death of actor Jorge García Bustamante | News

The Ministry of Culture regretted the death of Jorge García Bustamante, a prominent Peruvian film and television actor.

“We express our condolences to his relatives, colleagues and followers,” said the aforementioned ministry when referring to the death of the remembered actor in the hit novel “Carmín.”

Jorge Garcia Bustamante, who died last Saturday at his home located in Magdalena del Mar, was also the star of the Peruvian film La fuga del Chacal in the 1980s, in which he starred in successful productions.

The actor gained great popularity when he played the character of Lieutenant Maldonado in the remembered police series Gamboa, along with the also late first actor. Eduardo Cesti.

Another of his remembered performances was given in 1978 in the Peruvian film Immoral Tales.

However, many Peruvians remember him a lot for his role as Rodrigo Tovar in the youth telenovela Carmine, a production that marked an era and had great audience ratings on Peruvian television.

Jorge García Bustamante also worked on the international novel Morelia, produced by Televisa and Univisión.
