The Ministry of Culture has extended the application period for Saudi art history grants, to monitor the emergence and development of Saudi arts, the factors influencing them, and the critical, philosophical and cultural visions that shaped art in the Kingdom, until Wednesday, August 9, 2023 AD.
It was launched last May in several research fields in the history of arts in the Kingdom, including: visual arts of all kinds, performing arts, musical arts, and cinematic arts; Targeting researchers interested in the history of Saudi art; To support the research movement and stimulate reliable scientific production to study the arts and their history, and to monitor schools and artistic trends in the Kingdom, thus contributing to the growth of the creative cultural and artistic sector.
The Ministry will provide half of the grant amount after accepting the first draft, and the disbursement of the remaining amount of the grant will be completed after the full research is submitted and approved, and a statement of acceptance of publication is submitted to the Ministry, as it provided a guide on the application platform that applicants need to view it, and abide by the directives, general terms and conditions contained therein, And allowed those interested in more information to communicate via e-mail [email protected].
The Saudi Art History Scholarship stems from the importance of preserving the Kingdom’s cultural heritage, which is one of the goals of the National Strategy for Culture emanating from Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to bridging the research gaps that await specialized researchers to provide systematic readings of the transformations and developments of local arts.
