This year, the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs is once again awarding the “Lower Saxony Award for Particularly Reliable Training”. The state is thus honoring companies that stand out through an exemplary and consistent range of training courses and at the same time is focusing on the fundamental importance of training for society.
The annual award is being presented for the eighth time as part of the Alliance for Dual Training. Awards are given in four different categories: crafts, industry and trade, agriculture and home economics, and care. The award-winning companies represent all training companies that make their contribution to securing skilled workers year after year. This year the focus is on offering career-oriented internships. Melanie Walter, head of the vocational training department in the Ministry of Education, will present the awards this year.
In the category “Crafts”, the first prize will be Tuesday, 06.08.2024the training company Carl Oettinger GmbH &Co. KG (Beekestraße 54, 30459 Hannover) was honored. Thursday, 15.08.2024the company AMCON Software in Cloppenburg follows in the category “Industry and Trade” and on the same day in the category “Agriculture and Home Economics” the garden and landscaping company Meyer zu Hörste GmbH in Bad Rothenfelde. The final event is on Thursday, 22.08.2024the Municipal Hospital Lüneburg in the category “Care”.
“The award is a sign of appreciation for all those companies in our country that have been doing exemplary and reliable work for decades, not only by giving young people a perspective and paving the way into a career, but also by making an important contribution to securing skilled workers in the regions with their training work,” emphasised Department Head Walter.
For the “Lower Saxony Award for Particularly Reliable Training”, one company in each category will be awarded 1,000 euros. The prize money is to be used for training. The criteria for the award are the number of trainees in the past three years, the continuity and success of the training, regional and social commitment and the implementation of digitalization.
