It became clear that this incident happened three years ago during the corona epidemic. On that day, Al-Iqbariya channel broadcast the footage of the Ministry of Commerce seizing the hoarded onion stocks. This video is now being circulated on the pretext that it is a new incident. This video has nothing to do with the current onion crisis in the local market.
Three years ago, the Ministry of Commerce seized the onion stock belonging to three trading companies. The onion stock was hoarded by the owners to create an artificial shortage in the market and raise the price.
