Ministry Aims to Support Fashion and Craft Entrepreneurs with the Help of Incubator, IFCA – ANTARA News

The Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC), founded in 2015 by the Industry Ministry, has announced it will hold a Creative Business Incubator for young entrepreneurs in the fashion and craft industry, as well as an Indonesia Fashion and Craft Awards to encourage sustainability. The program will adopt classical and assistance methods, with the goal of increasing participants’ revenue by 100-300%. The incubator will have a hybrid model targeting 60 participants, with a classical session taking place in June 2023 and September-October 2023. At the end of the session, participants will be given an opportunity to pitch their businesses to potential investors, and the awards will provide innovative designers with prototype creation facilitation and coaching, in addition to raising the theme of sustainability. BCIC’s activities can be followed at @bcicofficial and bcic-ikm.net. Alumni from former similar programs have improved their production capacity, increased revenue, and even raised their business class from micro to small or even medium, and some have won awards, participated in international exhibitions, and received funding from investors. The program is aiming to develop businesses within the context of meet-share-collaborate, and the awards will be an effort to empower small and medium industries with local resources and markets.
