Ministerial and working visit to Esat Charles-de-Menditte in Bompas

Most recently at the Charles-de-Menditte Establishment and Work Help Service (Esat), Mr. Malet, President of the Joseph-Sauvy Association, Mr. Barbe, Director General, and Mr. Cathelat, Director of the Pole adapted work welcomed Laurent Pietraszenski, Secretary of State to the Minister of Labor, Employment and Integration, in charge of pensions and occupational health.

The missions of the adapted work center are to promote and encourage professional support for people with disabilities and to implement the recognition of professional skills. The adapted work center is four Esat, two adapted companies (EA), 383 people with disabilities supported in 14 trades, i.e. green spaces, nursery, carpentry, laundry, dry cleaning, manufacture of privacy screens and honey .

The Secretary of State welcomed the inclusion of the structure in the mechanisms for the Recognition of Professional Know-how (RSFP) with the Agency for Adult Vocational Training (Afpa), the Recognition of Acquired Experience (RAE) ), Validation of acquired experience (VAE), apprenticeship contracts and professional titles. All these actions allow people with disabilities who so desire to have a new professional experience in another position, another activity or another structure. So many stages that contribute to the logic of the course and the ability to attempt an experience in an ordinary environment.

Duo day and signed contract

To date, 40 workers from the Adapted Work Center are living the experience of inclusion in ordinary businesses. It was discussed with the Secretary of State the levers and obstacles to access and retention in employment of disabled workers. Involvement in the national day of Duo day 2021 contributes to this inclusive approach. Thus, 27 workers from the Adapted Work Center and three young people from the Maillol Medico-Educational Institute (IME) were able to share a working day with an employee of another company in the ordinary environment. The principle of the Duo day is simple: a company, a community or an association welcomes, on the occasion of a national day, a person with a disability, in duo with a volunteer professional.

Thanks to all these efforts, the results are here. Like Tony de l’Esat Johan-Cayrol who after an immersion course in the sales sector at Decathlon got an apprenticeship contract.
