The employers’ organizations demanded the resignations of the entire state energy – the ministry, BEH, TPP 2, and after an analysis of the behavior of ESO and NEK – and theirs.
This was announced by the rotating representative of the employers’ organizations Vasil Velev after a meeting with the Prime Minister Stefan Yanev and the Minister of Energy Andrey Zhivkov.
Velev repeated the words of the employers from yesterday that the problem of the free electricity market will not be solved in any other way, except through resignations, because the energy sector is not only managed incompetently, but also for the deliberate benefit of certain persons. Currently, the price of industrial electricity is 73% higher than in Germany and is the most expensive in Europe. In addition, energy is unreliable and the solution is market integration with other countries.
Minister Zhivkov explained that the ministry is doing everything possible. TPP “Maritsa-East 2” works as it has not worked in recent years – out of 8 units are included 5. The other 3 are under repair, but talks will be held with teca repairs to be completed faster to include them . This will provide more liquidity to the market.
If they ask me to resign, I will submit it immediately, but I think that we have done a lot of work for this team, said Zhivkov.
