There had previously been some confusion about the site visits. Due to the strict corona measures, some site visits, as previously organized, can now no longer take place. But that does not mean that prospective buyers or tenants can no longer visit the properties offered for sale or rent at all.
“Site visits can only take place if there is no one other than the prospective buyer or tenant present in the building,” said the minister. The real estate agent and the sellers, or lessors, are therefore not allowed to be on site, or must wait outside the property until the prospective buyer or tenant has completed the visit inside.
“Of course we want to avoid that there are many contacts between people, that people meet each other in a closed or a small space and cannot respect social distancing,” says Verlinden. “You can of course always organize virtual tours, if you want to make it possible to view a building without a physical visit.”
