“The Minister of Health, Vlastimil Válek, underwent a minor procedure at the Brno General Hospital. According to the information I have, he is fine,” the department’s spokesman Ondřej Jakob told Novinkám. He refused to comment further on the situation.
According to the spokesperson, Válek should return to the work program within a few days. He is currently still hospitalized. On Wednesday, he was supposed to take part in a government meeting, and on Tuesday, a meeting of coalition leaders on the problems with digitization of construction management is also planned.
Válek is a passionate cyclist, photos from bike trips was publishing even in the past days. According to the newsroom, it was not an injury related to cycling, but problems with the appendix.
