The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection in Indonesia, Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, has praised state-owned railway company PT KAI for providing services and facilities for women and children during the Eid-al-Fitr holiday period. Darmawati toured Pasar Senen Station in Jakarta, reviewing facilities such as lactation rooms, health posts, and a special waiting area for passengers with disabilities. She also appreciated PT KAI’s commitment to preventing violence against women and children in all train carriages by maintaining a blacklist of perpetrators of sexual violence. She reminded PT KAI to report cases of violence against women and children in station areas or on train carriages, and urged the company to ensure a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment for women and children during the Eid homecoming.
