Jakarta –
The government through emergency PPKM regulations requires vaccine card for people who want to travel out of town. Minister of Transportation Budi Karya then outlined the criteria for people who can go out of town without a vaccine requirement.
Initially, the Minister of Transportation, Budi, was asked whether or not people could not receive the vaccine when they went out of town. The Minister of Transportation then explained the two criteria that were excluded.
“That there are people who are not vaccinated, including those who have been exposed to COVID and also they have disease, so that is clearly excluded,” said Budi during a press conference broadcast live on BNPB YouTube, Friday (1/7/2021).
Even so, those who get an exception must show the test results swab PCR. They are also asked to comply with health protocols.
“You can go but do a PCR test,” said Budi.
Children 12 Years Old and Over Must Show Vaccine Card
Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito said children aged 12 years must also show a vaccine card. Ganip said that at least the child could show the card for the first dose of vaccine if he wanted to travel.
“We also want to optimize the vaccination program, and we havelaunching that vaccination for children, especially those aged 12 to 18 years, has been launched. So for that purpose, we apply the minimum first dose of vaccine,” said Ganip.
Ganip also said that the COVID-19 Task Force had collaborated with the Ministry of Transportation to provide a vaccine center. So, later at every airport departure gate there will be a vaccine center to make it easier for the public.
“And earlier, the Minister of Transportation explained that at each airport departure gate, a vaccine center was prepared to make it easier for people to travel from one area to another,” explained Ganip.
It is known, in the Emergency PPKM rules that will take effect from July 3 to July 20, people who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 are not allowed to go out of town. So residents who want to travel must show their vaccine card to the officer.
“Domestic long-distance travelers show vaccine cards. H-2 PCR for aircraft and H-1 antigen for other long-distance modes of transportation,” said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan during a press conference, Thursday (1/7).
Luhut said this policy was aimed at avoiding cases of COVID-19 transmission. Because the current daily active cases of COVID-19 are already too high.
“The use of this vaccine card is to prevent other people from contracting it or vice versa. With a vaccine, it can protect us from COVID-19 attacks,” said Luhut.
