New decisions regarding the construction of the Brașov-Comarnic highway

Sorin Grindeanuthe Minister of Transport, claims that highway Brașov – Comarnic will be laid out in pieces, and this year the section from “Brașov down” will be auctioned.

He says that for highway Comarnic – Brașov, the cost reached 8 billion euros for the 160 km. In this context, the Minister of Transport stated that the project will start with the sections that are necessary for traffic relief, and the part towards Comarnic, where there is already a section with 4 lanes, will be left behind.

Sorin GrindeanuMinister of Transport and Infrastructure, was the guest of Marius Tucă in an edition transmitted live by Gândul.

“The cost for highway Comarnic – Brașov reached 8 billion euros. All the resorts have developed, the local authorities did not give their consent, and then the option through the tunnel remained, which is very expensive. You can’t find funding like that, it’s outrageous. I say that we found solutions at the end of last year. First of all, we use what we have, because we have a 4-lane road up to Comarnic, which is fine and reduces our costs a lot. Even there were planned tunnels, although it is a flat area. I am optimistic that at the end of this year we will be able to auction the first section, from Brașov down.

We will be able to auction this starting this year. You can’t find financing for 8 billion euros. I consider it a viable solution for infrastructure development in Romania public-private partnership. We don’t have to treat it like “others”, said Sorin Grindeanu.

The minister could not say what will be the end of the first section that will be auctioned, scire bizbrasov.ro.
