Minister of the Interior changes the leadership of the National Civil Police

He Minister of the InteriorByron Bor Illescas, appointed a new leadership of the National Civil Police (PNC), so as of this Thursday the general director of the PNC is the general commissioner and graduate in criminology and criminalistics, Adal Amilton Rodríguez Najarro, of 46 years old, who replaces the general commissioner, Edwin Ardiano López.

Rodríguez Najarro served as deputy director general, a position that will now be held by the commissioner general, David Estuardo Custodio Boteo, who was the head of the General Subdirectorate of Operations.

While the PNC details that Commissioner Edwin Manfredo Ardiano López retired after serving in various positions within the PNC.

The PNC details that Rodríguez Najarro has 23 years of service in the police institution. Before becoming general director, he held the position of head of the Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (Deic). He later became head of the General Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigation (SGIC).

Rodríguez Najarro’s position will be occupied by the general commissioner and graduate in police sciences, with a specialty in Community Police, Custodio Boteo, who is a graduate of the second class of direct access officers. He has been on duty in police stations 12 and 21, anti-gang section of the Deic, head of the National Division against the Criminal Development of Gangs (Dipanda), attached to the SGIC, he was also head of the Deic and lastly he had served as deputy general director of operations. He has 22 years of service within the PNC.
