Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum, said today, Sunday, that petroleum subsidies have decreased by about 46 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2020-2021.
Minister Tariq Al-Mulla said in statements that “petroleum subsidies decreased to 3.9 billion pounds (249.8 million dollars) in the first quarter … from seven billion pounds that were in the budget, compared to 7.25 billion pounds a year ago.”
The Ministry of Finance aims that petroleum subsidies for the current fiscal year will reach 28.193 billion pounds.
