Maurate Romero met with the leaders of the workers of this union, listened to their demands and received the list of demands that they will negotiate for the years 2024-2025, with the employers of the sector.
The Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate Romero, held a meeting with the leaders of the Federation of Civil Construction Workers, where it was agreed to form a table to analyze the fight against crime that affects this labor sector.
The head of the MTPE highlighted the dialogue that both unions have maintained in the last twenty years, which has allowed the sustained growth of the sector in the country, as well as improving the economic and working conditions of the workers, which also results in the well-being of the workers. businessmen who do not see construction works paralyzed.
“The Federation of Civil Construction Workers is a union that is very open to dialogue. They have been negotiating and reaching agreements (with CAPECO) for more than twenty years without conflicts, without strikes and that is very good for the country,” he highlighted.
He recalled, in that sense, that a few years ago the civil construction marches blocked the streets, paralyzed the works, were violent which resulted in economic losses for workers and businessmen.
“Now there is peaceful activity and the employers have won, because the works are not paralyzed, and the workers, who have improved their working conditions, have salary increases. Now they come with a new document, which contains proposals for increases and others, which will trigger the negotiation with CAPECO, which I am sure they will understand,” he noted.
