The Minister of State for Immigration, Ambassador Suha Gendi, confirmed in televised statements that the law on the import of cars for expatriates does not prohibit the sale.
The Minister of Immigration had previously revealed, in statements to “Youm7 TV”, all the details of the approval by the Council of Ministers of a bill that exempts the cars of Egyptians abroad from taxes, customs and taxes, and said that this decision satisfies the most important demand of Egyptians abroad, explaining that obtaining the exemption in exchange for placing that value in foreign currency in the form of a deposit, to be exchanged in Egyptian pounds after five years at the rate of change of the era.
He stressed that the value of the deposit is determined by the value of the cost that the Egyptian would have paid abroad as taxes and customs duties on his car.
