The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) appointed Nizhamul as Acting Regent of Batu Bara replacing Zahir. Zahir’s term of office as Regent of Batu Bara will end December 27 2023.
“Yes (the Minister of Home Affairs appointed Nizhamul as Acting Regent of Batu Bara),” said Head of the Government Bureau and Regional Secretariat of the Regional Secretariat of the North Sumatra Provincial Government, Juliadi Zurdani Harahap when contacted, Sunday (24/12/2023).
Acting Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Hassanudin will inaugurate Nizhamul on Wednesday (27/12). The inauguration will take place in the Tengku Rizal Nurdin Hall at the Governor of North Sumatra’s official residence.
“Wednesday (inauguration) at the (Gubsu) official residence in the afternoon,” he said.
From the information gathered, Nizhamul is an echelon I official at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. Currently Nizhamul serves as Head of the Planning and Organization Bureau.
Nizhamul joined the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs in 2019. Previously, he was an ASN at the Riau Provincial Government and held several echelon II positions there.
For your information, Zahir’s position as Regent of Batu Bara will expire on December 27 2023. Nizhamul will become Acting Regent until he is elected regent in the 2024 regional elections and will be evaluated every six months.
