”We are very concerned about the risk of introducing the epidemic into the country. In India, in the past 24 hours, 340,000 new infections have been discovered. He found that all subsequent outbreaks were often larger, stronger and more devastating. Vietnam must be very vigilant, focus on the implementation of all preventive measures.
Faced with the high risk of introducing the coronavirus to Vietnam, the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 and the Ministry of Health have repeatedly warned of the possibility of a fourth wave epidemic in Vietnam.
The government and the Prime Minister have continuously led the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, warned the population and drastically implemented measures to prevent the outbreak from entering from abroad.
At home, to prevent the introduction and spread of the coronavirus in the South West region, the Ministry of Health has set up five missions, led by the minister and deputy ministers, to examine all issues related to the response to COVID-19 in this region.
Recently, the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 held a meeting with officials from the southwestern provinces, provinces bordering Cambodia, to strengthen preventive measures.
Believing that this region was a point of risk, during the inspection in the province of Kiên Giang, in particular in Hà Tiên, the Ministry of Health noted the need to create a field hospital there in order to react proactively and actively to the epidemic when a bad scenario occurs. Reason: from Hà Tiên to the town of Rach Gia (province of Kiên Giang) 100 km away, travel is difficult. In addition, the number of those infected in treatment at Hà Tiên is quite large.
During the interview, the Minister gave recommendations to the people of the whole country about the prevention of the epidemic at this time, especially as the April 30 holidays approach (Liberation Day of South Vietnam and reunification of the country) and 1is May (World Labor Day). He urged people to strictly adhere to the 5K message, including wearing a mask and disinfecting hands.
The Ministry of Health wants all people in the target group to be vaccinated so that the situation can be well controlled.
Finally, he ordered all levels, sectors and localities not to be subjective, neglected and reckless and must properly implement preventive measures, under the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
