ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif welcomed SOE Minister Erick Thohir’s proposal that he wanted it First price CS is announced every week. According to Arifin, this is good because world crude oil prices also change every week.
It also provides the public with the understanding that the price of crude oil is the cause of changes in fuel prices.
“I think it’s okay, because the price of crude oil is also developing every day. So, to get the public used to it, let them know that this is the cause of international oil prices,” he told the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources , Jakarta, Friday (6/1/2023).
According to him, that’s how it is abroad. He also confirmed that there are plans to implement it. “Yes (there is a plan),” he said.
However, Arifin did not provide certainty when this will be implemented. When asked if the regulations related to this matter would be changed, Arifin said that he would make changes.
“Yes, we will adjust it so that people are aware that we depend on imported crude. Crude prices change every day,” he said.
