Defense Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo announced the creation of the ‘Special Unit for the Identification, Location and Judicialization of perpetrators of collective homicides’.
He assured that “behind the cases of collective homicide in recent days is drug trafficking” and reiterated the urgency of restarting the spraying of illicit crops in the fight against the world drug problem.

He added that “in the meantime there are those who politicize with death. They are outraged by the violence, but at the same time they defend the impunity of yesterday’s massacres and oppose eradication, spraying and the general action of the Public Force to end the illicit crops that finance today’s massacres ”.
‘Special Unit for the Identification, Location and Judicialization of the perpetrators of collective homicides’
It is a special unit “with elite characteristics, made up of our best men in the different forces for the purpose of identifying, locating and prosecuting those who have participated in these collective killings.”

He added that those responsible for these crimes will be part of the cartel of the most wanted for being perpetrators of collective homicides and that there will be a “rewards program that mobilizes the collaboration of citizens.”
