“Learning to play an instrument, singing in a choir and much more not only trains musical skills, but also promotes a sense of community and enables participation in cultural life. Before the corona pandemic, music schools made a major contribution to education. Now they are asked again to help compensate for any gaps and deficits that have arisen. The music schools face these challenges as reliable partners. I would like to thank all the teachers and those responsible for this, ”said Minister of Culture Klepsch.
The music, dance and art school Bannewitz is one of the music schools funded by the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism with a total of around EUR 7.5 million.
The interdisciplinary offer gives it an unmistakable profile. Through tireless, also voluntary work, a future-oriented development has taken place over the past 20 years, which can be seen not least in the high number of schoolchildren.
