Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo said he went to Polda Metro Jaya to convey information regarding the alleged extortion report.
“I was faced with a problem, which I resolved today. I went to the Regional Police to convey information related to the Dumas 12 August 2023,” said Syahrul at the NasDem Tower, Thursday (5/10).
Syahrul said that there was a report made by the public regarding alleged extortion on August 12 2023. However, he did not explain the alleged extortion case.
“So the Dumas 12 August 2023 is related to things reported by the public regarding what kind of things, reports, extortion and so on,” he said.
Syahrul admitted that he was questioned for about 3 hours by Polda Metro Jaya investigators today. He admitted that he was tired because he had just arrived from abroad last night.
Previously, a summons was circulated from investigators from the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya against Heri as Syahrul’s driver. The letter circulating among journalists is number B/10339/VIII/RES.3.3./2023/Ditreskrimsus.
The letter was dated August 25 and signed by the Director of Special Criminal Investigation, Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak. In the letter, the summons for driver Syahrul refers to information report number LI-235/VII/RES.3.3./2023/Ditreskrimsus dated 21 August 2023.
Apart from that, it was written that Sub-Directorate V Tipidkor Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya is currently investigating alleged criminal acts of corruption in the form of extortion committed by KPK leaders in handling cases at the Ministry of Agriculture in 2021.
