On Saturday, July 2, 2022, the Minister of Agriculture, Kaspars Gerhards, will open the annual agricultural industry event “Tractor Day 2022”, which will be held as usual in the field of AS “Agrofirma Tērvete” of Tērvete Parish, Dobele District.
This year the event will take place for the 11th time. More than 60 agricultural companies, governmental and non-governmental organizations are expected to participate. This year, visitors to the event will have the opportunity to view not only agricultural machinery, but also military machinery and equipment, as soldiers from the Latvian NBS Mechanized Infantry Brigade and NATO’s extended presence battle group in Latvia will also participate, as well as national guardsmen.
The purpose of this event is to promote the development of Latvian agriculture and countryside, preservation and improvement of the rural environment, more efficient use and management of resources, combining education, production and practical demonstrations in agriculture, developing the exchange of experience between representatives of the agricultural sector.
