The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning of Indonesia, Hadi Tjahjanto, has announced that his ministry is committed to supporting the “Golden Indonesia” vision by 2045, aiming to make it the fourth-largest economic power in the world by that time. The ministry is taking steps to attract more foreign investors in order to support spatial planning and land registration efforts. Towards this goal, it is accelerating the preparation of 2,000 detailed spatial plans that require support from 514 districts/cities throughout the country. The minister stated that more investment will lead to job creation, economic growth, and increased land values. Additionally, the government has continued its Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program, aiming to register 126 million plots of land by 2025. The program has already realized the registration of 101 million plots of land, which the minister said can provide capital for access to formal financial institutions. He noted that since 2017, the value added from the PTSL program has been Rp5,219 trillion, adding to the economic growth experienced by society and creating potential for further development. The minister stressed that to achieve a “Golden Indonesia” by 2045, high-quality human resources and the sustainable management of natural resources are equally essential. He emphasized that Indonesia’s abundant resources have the potential to meet international demand, and the keys to unlocking this potential are its human resources.
