According to the report, up to now, the whole province has 118/161 communes that have met the new rural standards, of which, there are 28 communes that have reached the advanced rural standards; 4 district-level units that have met the standards/completed the task of building new rural areas are Chau Thanh, Tan Tru, Kien Tuong town and Tan An city. Currently, Long An province is preparing documents and procedures to submit to the Central Government to recognize Can Duoc district as meeting new rural standards and Chau Thanh district as meeting advanced rural standards.

Regarding OCOP products, the province currently has 77 products recognized to meet OCOP standards, of which 26 products are 4-star and 51 are 3-star. OCOP products mainly belong to the food, herbal, souvenir, furniture, etc.
