The Minister for Ecological Transition and former Mayor of Angers will attend the inauguration of the new tram lines on Friday July 7 in Angers.

The Minister for Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Béchu, will travel to Angers on Friday to participate in the inauguration of the new tram lines.

While insubordinate France and the Communist Party of Maine-et-Loire are calling for a meeting at 6 p.m. to demand free public transport in the Angers conurbation, Christophe Béchu has planned to give a speech at 5:45 p.m.

“Lines B and C of the Angers tramway represent a lever for the ecological transition making it possible to decarbonise mobility, an essential issue since transport is the leading sector for greenhouse gas emissions in France. This mode of transport enriches the metropolitan bus network, promotes the establishment of park-and-ride facilities, facilitates carpooling and the use of bicycles, with the creation of numerous routes in town and on the outskirts. »explains the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion.
