Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir will call 6 BUMN next week. The reason is, these 6 BUMNs are not yet open to the public.
“Please note, Mr. Sesmen, the BUMNs that were still in the red will be called next week. Next week they will be called, why are the directors here,” said Erick on the agenda of the 2024 BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) at Senayan Indoor Tennis, Central Jakarta , Thursday (7/3/2024).
Erick explained that currently the Ministry of BUMN is encouraging all BUMN and their subsidiaries to be open to the public. This openness includes the ease with which people can access and obtain information.
“Do you really want to be closed? You can’t. It was previously stated that checks and balances in openness (of information) must occur. So I am still disappointed with what I wrote earlier. Please, in the future, I will call the directors,” he stressed.
Erick also revealed the 6 BUMNs that will be summoned next week. The six are PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero), PT Inalum, PT ASABRI (Persero), PT Reinsurance Indonesia Utama (Persero), Perum BULOG, and PT Danareksa (Persero).
“Six. Six in number. Inalum, Asabri, Bulog, Reinsurance, Bahana Indonesian Business Recovery, Danareksa,” explained Erick.
According to Erick, the 6 BUMNs were summoned regarding the assessment in 2022. Currently, he said that a number of companies on the red list are very informative.
One of them is Bulog, under the leadership of Bayu Krisnamurthi, he said that companies operating in the food sector have carried out good outreach.
“Yes, maybe there are some companies like Danareksa that cannot provide information on a regular basis. But I think Bulog is very informative with the leadership of Mr. Bayu Krisnamurthi. He has done good outreach but we need to encourage him. Maybe the others depend on the information he wants to share. But “I still want to push so that we continue to be open,” he concluded.
