BUMN Minister Erick Thohir opened up about a number of transformations carried out at the BUMN Ministry. He said that the massive changes were not only in the structure of BUMN.
He explained that since the beginning of his leadership he had changed the structure of the Ministry of BUMN like the structure of corporations.
“From the start, we changed the structure of the Ministry of BUMN at that time, only deputies like those in the corporation, Deputy for HR, IT, Finance. Then our deputy minister and I were more into portfolios,” he said at the inauguration of the Media Center at the Ministry of BUMN, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/ 1/2023).
However, that alone is not enough. He said changes were also made on the human side.
“We also encourage fundamentals because structure alone is not enough if there are no people,” he said.
Simultaneously, he said, various changes were made to the BUMN Ministry office. He said the renovations were carried out even though they were hampered by COVID-19.
The BUMN Ministry office, he said, is now friendlier to BUMN Ministry employees or teams. Not only that, the media space has also been improved.
“Thank God, this place is not for me but to serve the media as part of the transparency that we encourage at the Ministry of BUMN,” he said.
