Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo reportedly infected covid-19. This news first blew in the environment of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (CCP) where Edhy’s office is.
To note, Edhy also did not carry out field activities for about one week. Edhy recorded the last time he made a working visit on September 1, then to East Kalimantan. After that, it was found that Edhy did not conduct activities in the field as the Minister of KP.
Deputy Chairman of Commission IV of the Indonesian Parliament Daniel Johan said he also received information that Edhy Prabowo was exposed to Covid-19.
“Yes, I received news from KKP staff,” said Daniel via short message to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (8/9).
After receiving this information, Daniel admitted that he took the initiative to immediately send a message of encouragement to Edhy, who is suspected of being in independent isolation. It’s just that Daniel admitted that he didn’t openly ask about Edhy’s condition after being informed that he had Covid-19.
“I directly WA Bang Edhy, but I did not directly ask about it, I just prayed that it would always be healthy and smooth,” he said.
The message, said Daniel, was immediately answered by Edhy with gratitude. Daniel also said that from the information he received, Edhy was healthy and fit.
“I got the info on September 3, but the exact date must be asked directly,” he said.
Since Monday (7/9), information regarding Edhy Prabowo’s health condition has indeed been sticking out. However, KKP Public Relations staff were reluctant to provide information regarding Edhy’s condition.
CNNIndonesia.com also contacted Edhy Prabowo directly by telephone and text message, but Edhy did not answer the telephone line.
Apart from Edhy, CNNIndonesia.com has also contacted some of Edhy’s colleagues in the Gerindra Party, but no one has provided definitive information.
Meanwhile the Director General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Nilanto Perbowo, said he did not know about the news that his boss was infected with the corona virus.
“I don’t know. I just heard because friends from the media were contacted by it. Just go to the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Agung,” he said.
