“This is a complete misunderstanding! No new rules have been introduced. What came out as information on Friday is a summary of what we announced at the beginning of the school year. Nothing is changing!” This was said by the Minister of Education Nikolay Denkov, quoted by Nova TV before the student cross in the South Park in Sofia.
“Compared to last school year, there are changes related to the fact that now the first class of the new program is graduating. From there there are many more exams, different organization, as well as exams that are for professional qualification “, explained the Minister of Education.
Another change is the number of “Average 3” points, which rises from 23 points to 30.
“The opinion of the experts is that in this preparation of the children these 30 points are appropriate,” Denkov explained. “The difference is that there can be more couples than triples. On the other hand, we must be calm that the one who received the diploma knows the material on which he appears “, he added.
There are also fewer works that high school students need to learn. “This allows children to focus more on them,” said Minister Denkov, adding that “this will help them better formulate their theses.”
The Minister spoke about the Matura exams before joining the cross-country race with children and students in the South Park in Sofia, part of the “5 KM RUN” initiative.
