Minister Saji Cherian said Film Academy Chairman Ranjith did not try to influence the jury members in deciding the state film awards. No juror said that Ranjith tried to influence him. Minister Saji Cherian said that he will consult with the Chief Minister on the issue. The minister’s response was on Big Fight, a twenty-four debate program. Vinyan had earlier complained to the Chief Minister and the Culture Minister regarding the decision of the film award. Saji Cherian’s position is that he will look into the complaint after consulting with the Chief Minister. The minister stated that no jury member had said that Ranjith had tried to influence the 24 debate program Big Fight.

Many leaders have asked to check whether there is any truth in Vinayan’s complaint. Ranjith and Vinayan are needed by the party and the front. The Minister said that there is no difference of opinion between CPI(M) and CPI(M) in this regard.
