Minister Beke also discussed the contact investigation, which is still not going as it should. But progress has been made again, says Beke. “Today, 3 out of 4 infected people are contacted within 24 hours. The labs are now also communicating the results faster, so that the contact persons can start calling faster.”

Minister Beke also wants to use local authorities more in the contact investigation, and more specifically to investigate why different contamination suddenly occurs in certain places: the so-called clusters. “We need that local expertise for that, and we definitely want to focus on that.”
