MINI launches a new electric range within days..will it enhance its competitiveness?

By introducing a new range of its electric cars, MINI aims to establish itself in this rapidly growing market. Will it be able to enhance its competitiveness, which is constantly striving to offer fully electric models, and is scheduled to announce two new models during the “International Motor Show” in Munich between September 5 and 10.

Since the re-launch of the brand at the turn of the millennium, MINI has been trying to achieve remarkable achievements, including that new vehicles allow local mobility without emissions and allow drivers to adapt them to their different lifestyles and requirements.

The four available versions, Essential, Classic, Favored and JCW, offer different levels of design and equipment.

The first car to be launched during the week’s exhibition is the all-electric Mini Countryman, whose 204-horsepower electric motor in the Countryman E generates 250 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.

The electric motors of the SE ALL4 all-wheel drive generate 313 hp, a total torque of 494 Nm, and the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Also available with innovative, highly efficient petrol engines are the Countryman C with front-wheel drive, the S ALL4 with four-wheel drive, and the more powerful JCW ALL4 with all-wheel drive.

The second car is the all-electric Mini, an innovative version of the original car. In its fifth edition, the three-door sedan continues the brand’s tradition with its distinctive design and exemplifies city driving pleasure. As an all-electric vehicle, the new Mini is available in Cooper E and Cooper SE models, with more power and enhanced range.

The Cooper E’s 184-horsepower electric motor generates 290 Nm of torque, and the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The electric motor generates 218 horsepower, in the Cooper SE, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km per hour in 6.7 seconds, with a maximum torque of 330 Nm.
