A few days after its world premiere at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, the new all-electric MINI Countryman makes its debut in New York. The occasion is the panel “Driving Forward: The Transforming of Future Mobility”, organized by URBAN-X, the startup accelerator founded by MINI, as part of New York Climate Week from September 17 to 25.
At the event, the all-electric MINI Countryman makes its debut on the American continent. The new MINI Countryman E enables locally emission-free electric mobility with the brand’s typical fun driving. More space inside and a considerable electric range invite you to take excursions beyond the city limits. It combines distinctive design, advanced driving technology and an immersive digital experience.
The new MINI Countryman Electric is an important step for MINI on the path to becoming a fully electric brand by 2030, combining local emissions-free electromobility with the highest possible environmental compatibility, including in production. This includes recycled polyester interior surfaces, as well as the manufacturing of light alloy wheels with up to 70 percent secondary aluminum.
At the round table “Driving Forward: The Transforming of Future Mobility”, representatives from the world of startups, the automotive industry and urban planning discussed current challenges and possible solutions to transform urban mobility in the future.
URBAN-X was founded by MINI in 2016. Since then, more than 70 startups from different countries have already participated. At the beginning of September, the 13th cohort started with six other urban technology startups dedicated to developing solutions for climate protection.
