Accident involving container trucks and minibuses occurring on roads Cipularang Toll Road, KM 91,200, Sukatani area, Purwakarta. The accident resulted in 1 person being killed.
Head of Laka Satlantas Purwakarta Police Ipda Jamal Nasir said the accident occurred at 17.25 WIB. Allegedly, the truck lost control while on the road downhill, then hit the minibus.
“The vehicle came from the direction of Bandung to Jakarta, upon arriving at the scene of the incident on the road slightly downhill, the truck lost control and then overturned. hit the minibus Hyundai is trying to overtake from the left,” said Ipda Jamal Nasir, at the scene, Saturday (16/10/2021).
Jamal explained, before overturning, the truck hit the road divider then the minibus came trying to overtake the vehicle from the left. As a result, the minibus was crushed by a container containing thousands of bottles of mineral water.
“One person was crushed to death by the body of the vehicle, while the seven passengers survived,” he said.
Currently the dead and injured are in Abdul Radjak Hospital Purwakarta. The evacuation process took up to three hours.
Meanwhile, the injured victim is Ian Bastian (64), a resident of Serpong, South Tangerang City.
This accident affected the flow of traffic. The traffic flow from Bandung to Jakarta was jammed for a long time because of the accident evacuation.
