A car fire called the fire departments of the market town of Regau onto the scene shortly before noon on Saturday. A minibus caught fire on the western motorway in the direction of Salzburg shortly before the Hainbach rest area. When the fire brigade arrived at the scene, the vehicle parked on the hard shoulder was already fully engulfed in flames. The burning vehicle was extinguished using a high-pressure pipe and the leaking fuel was contained. For this purpose, the motorway police set up a short-term total closure of the motorway. The fire department was able to end the operation after about an hour.
