British car manufacturer Mini has ended production of the Clubman model, thus the station wagon, which was notable for its interesting two-door fifth door, will end its life cycle with more than 1.1 million copies produced in 55 years.
Production of the Mini Clubman began in 1969, lasted until 1980, and after a break of more than two decades, resumed with the modern version, which ends its life cycle in 2024.
Information that the Mini Clubman’s days are numbered appeared in 2023. Weak demand was cited as the reason, as well as the future of the company being tied to electric drive. In the fall, Mini announced the 1969 copies of the big farewell version of the Mini Clubman Final Edition, the last cars of which have now been solemnly welcomed at the Mini factory in Oxford.
An era of 55 years has come to an end, but the factory team was already happy about the new page in Mini history, which will be associated with the first all-electric Cooper and Countryman.
