Mines and Explosive Devices in Ukraine: 264 Civilians Killed, 571 Injured

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, mines and explosive devices have killed 264 civilians and injured another 571, the State Special Transport Service has announced.

A total of 561 accidents related to mines and explosive objects were registered. Of these accidents, 145 occurred in fields, 125 on roads, 117 in yards, 91 in forests, 30 in water bodies and 53 indoors.

The State Special Transport Service called for strict compliance with safety regulations.

“Markings that warn of possible dangers are installed precisely to warn of dangers. Special tapes, signs “Danger, mines!”, “Stop, mines!”, red flags on the ground – all this warns that the territories are dangerous. Don’t ignore them!” called the service.
