Minecraft now gets support for PlayStation VR

On the official PlayStation Blog you can now read that the extremely popular construction game Minecraft gets support for PlayStation VR. Thus, there are far more who get the opportunity to occupy the pixelated universe in virtual reality.

The support is not far away, and will be in place already this month, promises Mojang Studios. According to the developer, the feature has been in demand among players for a long time.

The PSVR support comes as a separate, free update to the main game, and everyone who has played the PlayStation 4 will receive the update automatically. The only thing you need in addition is of course the VR glasses.

The VR support comes with some new setting options that allow players to adjust and customize the experience, but beyond this, nothing about the game changes at the game itself.

You can also choose between two different VR modes called “Immersive” and “Living Room”, but the developer did not elaborate on what these mean.

Minecraft already has support for the Oculus Rift glasses, something that came into place several years ago, and it is also possible to play the game in VR via Samsungs Gear VR-plattform.
