“Polissya” beat “pass” in an away match of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at “Minay-Arena” ended with a score of 2:3.
In the first half, the Zhytomyr club created a comfortable handicap for itself – the Venezuelan striker scored a double Luifer Hernandez, scoring in the 9th and 23rd minutes. For him, these are debut goals in the UPL.
After the break, the guests made the score devastating – in the 59th minute he hit a well-hit shot Emil Mustafaev.
However, then Serhii Shishchenko’s wards almost lost all their advantage. Denis Ustimenko made a double, scoring in the 65th and 87th minutes. However, the Transcarpathians were unable to equalize the score.

For “Polyssia” this is the first victory in the official matches of 2024. The Zhytomyr club broke its streak of five defeats in a row (four in the UPL and one in the Cup of Ukraine).
“Polissya” (36 points) occupies the sixth place in the Ukrainian Premier League. “Minay” (14 points) remained on the last, 16th step of the tournament table.
In the next round, “Polyssia” will host “Kolos” on April 14. A day earlier, “Mynai” will play away against “Obolon”.
