The authoritative Plovdiv archaeologist Mina Bospachieva has died. The sad news was announced on her social media by her granddaughter.
Mina Bospachieva was also a respected writer and historian. Her name is associated with one of Plovdiv’s large-scale projects: the Little Basilica. She is a researcher of the Wall of the Nebet Tepe Fortress towards the western slopes, of the Hellenistic Necropolis of Philippopolis and of numerous other sites during excavations in the city. There are numerous academic publications on the history of Plovdiv.
The pilgrimage will take place tomorrow – November 2, at 10:00 at the Rogoshki cemetery.
