Milwaukee wins at the Garden; 6/6 for the Suns; Boston recovers; Brooklyn is rolling out; Kelly Oubre on fire

The Suns hosted Portland and clinched a 6th straight win carried by Frank Kaminsky, in career record mode with 31 points at 12/18 and 7 rebounds off the bench. Chris Paul led him to a major five where each player scored at least 10 points with 21 units at 9/16, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Phoenix (7-3) is 3rd in the West. Damian Lillard signed 28 points to no avail for the Blazers who still haven’t won a single away game this season.

3rd consecutive victory for the Wizards, well helped by a 3-point clutch of Kyle Kuzma 12 seconds to go against Cleveland. Washington, 1st in the East, scored the last 5 points of the meeting. Darius Garland missed a 3-point after the shot from Kuzma (author of 12 of his 22 points in the last quarter, including two 3-points in the last 26 seconds), and Corey Kispert tucked in a layup for the Wizards at the last second, before a missed ave maria by Garland.

No bad surprises for the Nets in Orlando, with a 33-point victory carried by Kevin Durant almost perfect (30 points at 11/12), 21 points of LaMarcus Aldridge out of the bench and a James Harden in triple-double with 17 points at 6/11, 11 rebounds, 11 assists. This is a 6th victory in 7 games for Brooklyn, 3rd in the East (8-4).

On the New York side, Milwaukee got scared by losing 24 points in advance (the Knicks equalized 5 minutes from the end) before finally winning -2nd victory in a row- 12 points, carried by the 23 points of Pat Connaughton, author of three important 3-points at the end of the match. Jrue Holiday finished at 18 points, Giannis 15 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Derrick Rose finished leading scorer for the Knicks – whose major five was quickly relegated to the bench by Thibs – with 22 points.

After 5 consecutive losses, Charlotte recovered in Memphis with an excellent Kelly Oubre Jr., in career-high with 37 points (franchise record when leaving the bench) at 13/17 including 7 3-point shots. Gordon Hayward added 25 points and LaMelo Ball did not come far from a second triple-double in a row with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Opposite Ja Morant signs 32 points including 19 in the 1st quarter and 8 assists. Dillon Brooks was back from his broken hand and finished at 20 points.

Boston with 22 points (8/24), 12 rebounds and 7 assists Jayson Tatum, 16 points and 13 rebounds including 8 offensive Robert Williams III and 20 points of Dennis Schröder dominated Toronto. An 8-0 allowed the Celtics (5-6, 11th in the East) to stand out in the last quarter. The rookie Scottie Barnes finished leading scorer for the Raptors with 21 points.

Jerami Grant with 35 points led the Pistons (2-8) to victory over the Rockets (1-10). Cade Cunningham, 1st pick in the draft, signed 20 points at 8/18 for Detroit and Jalen Green, 2nd choice, 23 points at 8/20 for Houston.

In New Orleans Lu Dort et its 27 points and SGA and his 24 points allowed the Thunder to win for the 4th time in 10 games this season. Traveling to Indianapolis without Jokic (suspended), the Nuggets won on the wire, 101-98, led by 30 points at 11/19 from Will Barton. Finally the Spurs of Dejounte murray (26 points at 11/21, 6 rebounds and 7 assists) beat Sacramento without ever finding themselves led once despite the 37 points of De’Aaron Fox.
