On Wednesday, police found millions of euros worth of illegal tobacco in a warehouse in an industrial estate in the Limburg village of Born. Three men were arrested, they were on the spot during the raid.
The trio is suspected of violating the excise law. It is unclear exactly how much tobacco was found, but police estimate the value to be several million.
Illegal tobacco was found in a major international investigation. Together with customs and the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD), the police raided the Limburg warehouse.
The investigation continues and is detected by the FIOD.
