It is the largest cash grab ever in the English capital, says the chief officer of the London police. According to the police, the money – almost six million euros – was very dirty, was scattered on the floor and was stuffed in plastic bags. The countless banknotes were partly hidden under a bed.
The criminals hinted to the police that due to the corona crisis they had no idea how to get rid of the money, reports the London Evening Standard. The suspects pleaded guilty. Large amounts of money were also found in several other apartments.
