Tomasz Boruch became the seventh winner of the Polish “Millionaires”. He started the millionaire game in Tuesday’s episode and got to the final question without any major problems. He reached the last question, worth one million zlotys, with two lifebuoys.

Tomasz Boruch lives in Warsaw and graduated in veterinary medicine from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He is currently involved in clinical research. In “Millionaires”, knowledge in various fields is tested, but the subsequent questions did not pose any major problems for Mr. Tomasz. After giving the seventh consecutive correct answer, the participant gained a fourth lifeline: question replacement. And what did Hubert Urbański ask him about?

Tomasz Boruch won in “Millionaires” – the way to a million

Mr. Tomasz started his game for a million with a question for PLN 500 – as we now call an uninformed person. The next questions on the way of the “Millionaires” participant concerned, among others: lactase, Anna Czerwińska and kraken. The first problems appeared at question for PLN 40,000.

Who wrote the words and composed the music for the film adaptation of Józef Hen’s novel “Toast”?. A: Agnieszka Osiecka; B: Krzysztof Komeda; C: Osiecka and Komeda; D: Przybora and Wasowski.

The participant did not know the answer, so he asked to reject the two incorrect ones. Ultimately, he marked C (Osiecka and Komeda), it was obviously a good answer.

Mr. Tomasz used the next circle when asking the question for half a million zlotys:
Karol Irzykowski devoted his monograph to the tenth muse. What did he describe as “the visibility of man’s interaction with matter”?
A: music; B: cinema; C: television; D: internet.

Mr. Tomasz immediately thought about selecting answer B: “cinema”, but he didn’t want to take any risks, so he decided to use the second lifeline and called his friend, Tomasz. Despite still being unsure which answer was correct, the participant decided to select answer B: “cinema”. And he was right.

The participant used the third circle when asking about a million zlotys, which concerned two islands.
In what strait are two islands called Yesterday and Tomorrow, separated by less than four kilometers but with a time difference of 21 hours?: A: in Bosphorus pressure; B: in the Strait of Magellan; C: in the Strait of Caleta; D: in the Bering Strait.

Mr. Tomasz decided to ask the audience for help, the vast majority of which, as many as 65%, chose answer D: “in the Bering Strait”. The participant listened to the audience present in the studio and asked them to mark this answer. It was correct, so Mr. Tomasz became a millionaire.

Winners of “Millionaires”

In the history of the Polish edition of “Millionaires”, six people have already managed to win the main prize. They were doctoral student Krzysztof Wójcik (2010), retired teacher Maria Romanek (2018), classical philologist Katarzyna Kant-Wysocka (2019), musicologist Jacek Iwaszko (2021) and accountant Tomasz Orzechowski (2022). Mateusz Żaboklicki also joined this group on March 12 this year, and now on April 3, Tomasz Boruch. The million-dollar questions have been asked a total of 32 times so far.

Each participant of the “Millionaires” program starts the game with three lifelines: a phone call to a friend, half and half and a question to the audience. Since this season, a fourth lifeline has also appeared: the replacement of a question that appears only after seven correct answers. To become part of the history of “Millionaires” among the winners, you must answer 12 questions correctly.
