Million Poet Program Qualifies Top Nabati Poetry Talents in Abu Dhabi

The program, which enjoys a large audience following in its eleventh season, and is presented by media figures: Saud Al-Kaabi and Maitha Sabah, aims to consolidate the culture of Nabati poetry and literature in the hearts of people, and urge them to connect the past with the present.

In the third episode of the second stage, poets Faisal Jaza Al-Harbi (Saudi Arabia) and Fahd Rumayd bin Simar Al-Shammari (Iraq) qualified for the third stage, which will witness the arrival of 12 contestants, to compete for the title.

The qualification of Al-Harbi and Al-Shammari came by the decision of the arbitration committee, consisting of: Dr. Sultan Al-Amimi, Dr. Ghassan Al-Hassan, and Hamad Al-Saeed, after the first obtained “46 degrees,” and the second obtained “45 degrees,” out of a “50 possible degrees.” Muhammad Al-Madawi Al-Wadaei (Saudi Arabia) “43 degrees”, Faisal Dakhil Allah Al-Kasr Al-Otaibi (Saudi Arabia) “42 degrees”, Faris bin Nasser Al-Thabiti (Yemen) “41 degrees”, and Fahd Al-Dabdab Al-Mutairi (Kuwait) “41 degrees”, and one will move. Poetic puzzle:

The jury announced that the additional criterion for the competition in the third episode of the second stage will be the “poetic puzzle,” with the condition of writing two or three verses; The topic of the puzzle was pre-determined by the committee, and the topic of the puzzle in the episode was “The Red Chair” for the “Poet of a Million” program, and the aim of including the art of the “poetic puzzle” within the competition criteria is to revive this ancient Arab art.

The jury’s evaluation of the verses of “The Poetic Puzzle,” in which poets competed by writing verses whose answer would be the millionaire’s poet’s seat, came with a number of observations that directed towards improving this authentic art. Dr. Ghassan Al-Hassan alerted the contestants to what must be taken into account when writing the puzzle, indicating that one of the basics of the puzzle is that the description in it should not apply to anything other than the intended purpose, and all the verses and parts must be dedicated to serving the puzzle, and he explained that every poet has aspects of strength and weakness. In his verses.

While Dr. Sultan Al-Amimi provided detailed critical notes on the verses of each poet, through which he explained how the poets approached or moved away from the style and subject of the riddle, and the connotations of the vocabulary expressing it. As for Hamad Al-Saeed, he stressed that the puzzle was not very clear, and said that few of the competitors had mastered it correctly.
