In 2022, Farian had to undergo heart surgery. “I had a pig heart valve inserted because my own had become narrower with age. The operation was minimally invasive and lasted two hours. I was allowed to leave the clinic the next day,” he told the newspaper at the time. It took a long time before he could bring himself to undergo the procedure. But it is urgently needed: “Without the new heart valve, I might have died. She saved my life.”
He is still “full of energy”
Last November, Farian gave an update: “My heart valve is working great. Mick Jagger also has the exact same heart valve. I have a good pig in me! And I am very grateful for that.” But the newspaper claims to have learned that Farian has lost weight since the operation and has recently been dependent on a wheelchair and a ventilator due to lung problems. He is said to have had difficulty speaking.
Ingrid “Milli” Segieth, his former girlfriend and closest confidante, spent the New Year with him in Miami. “Frank was physically very weak, but still full of energy.
