UAn unlimited strike notice was given to the Millau hospital center following the general staff meeting which was held on Thursday, August 12 in the morning. It brought together around 35 employees of the Millavois hospital.
On the occasion of a press conference before the second Millavian demonstration against the health pass, the union South Social Health had already denounced an explosive situation within the establishment. The union had not ruled out joining a national unlimited strike movement as is already the case in many hospitals in France. This option was therefore chosen at the general staff meeting.
The strike of some staff will begin Monday August 16 at the Millau hospital. Striking agents contest the vaccination obligation and the establishment of the health pass especially in health and care establishments.
In a national press release, the union South Social Health remember ” that he has never been hostile to vaccination. he never advised anyone not to get the vaccine. He defends respect for everyone’s right to freedom of choice ”.
The union explains and specifies its positions with regard to the vaccine, equal access to health care for users and vis-à-vis the health pass.

“The SUD Santé Social Federation, along with other national and international organizations, demands the lifting of patents on vaccines and anti-COVID treatments, and their making available as a common good to allow all countries to benefit from them. The pharmaceutical and biomedical industry must be out of the market logic, the interest of the population must be protected and not come after corporate profits!
In addition, these measures would also make it possible to remove the suspicion of collusion between our governments and the pharmaceutical industries.
Like the SUD Santé Social Federation, other organizations denounce the discriminatory vaccination obligation imposed on hospital staff, but also on all those working with vulnerable people:
– More than 100 personalities take action against the health law and call for the signing of a petition that can be found on the Solidaires website.
– The defender of rights also made several remarks both on the substance and on the form of these provisions.
Yet the president had promised that there would be no vaccination obligation. Above all, France has signed a resolution with all the countries of the European Union, resolution 2361 u of January 27, 2021, prescribing an attitude respectful of the freedoms set out in the following paragraphs:
7.3.1: “to ensure that citizens are informed that vaccination is not compulsory and that no one is under political, social or other pressure to be vaccinated, if he or she does not wish to do it personally. “

The SUD Santé Social Federation also recalls that since the start of the pandemic, in addition to its negligence, the government has continued to take decisions where inconsistency disputed it with deceit:
- even asymptomatic positive, hospital workers had to continue working
- lies about the stocks and usefulness of masks
- broken promises regarding the recognition of occupational disease
- Discriminatory Health Segur accentuating inequalities and abusive managerial practices
- At the same time, whistleblowers, union representatives who dare to denounce carelessness, cynicism and lies are systematically prosecuted …
The SUD Santé Social Federation denounces the government’s strategy which aims to:
- to divide the population between the good vaccinated and the bad unvaccinated as it did with the good confined and the bad confined, between the good masked and the bad masked, between those and those who choose to follow the recommendations and those who wonder, question and disturb.
- to offload on a part of the population the responsibility which is its own in the management of the crisis which we are going through.
Because it is successive governments that have:
- systematized budget cuts and industrialization in hospitals
- weighed down Social Security spending
- closed thousands of beds
- deleted thousands of jobs despite repeated alerts from healthcare workers and the SUD Santé Social Federation!
The SUD Santé Social Federation is protesting against the systematic instrumentalization of health personnel! The SUD Social Health Federation recalls that the caregivers who are professionals who have been able to reorganize themselves during the peaks of hospitalization due to COVID-19. They have made public health choices to save as many patients as possible despite the lack of resources and must therefore benefit from their free will on vaccination …
Finally, concerning the Health Pass:
With the extended Health Pass, it is the fundamental freedoms of all which are ultimately called into question, either to move, to go to work, to go shopping, to take care of themselves, to use public services. in general.
Making PCR tests chargeable for the unvaccinated means degrading access to screening for the most vulnerable populations. This is an aberration in terms of public health and the fight against the pandemic.
Unsurprisingly, the Constitutional Council validated the law as a whole, with a few marginal modifications on fines, as well as the ban on dismissal. The implementation of the Health Pass already raises questions about the controls, and on its own it will not be able to prevent the spread of the Virus. The Constitutional Council has recorded the deprivation of liberty!
The SUD Santé Social Federation has submitted a strike notice in order to allow agents and employees who so wish to be able to express their disapproval of the measures imposed on them and to continue to demand the improvement of their working conditions and working conditions. ‘welcoming the populations with which they intervene ”.
