Militia has detained more than 1,000 protesters in Belarus

Protests of the democratic movement against the regime of Alexander Lukashenko continued in the cities of Belarus on the thirteenth Sunday in a row, this time many detainees and several people were also injured due to militia violence, TV3 News reports.

Most of the detainees were in Minsk – the so-called “People’s Self-Government March”. In total, more than 1,000 people were taken in militia minibuses. A large amount of armor was located in the center of Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

“Guys, please let them go! They are your compatriots! ” sounds in the streets.

Videos posted on social networks show that after the arrest, many people were placed with their hands against the wall and some were forced to stand in this position from noon until late. On Monday, November 9, protests continued.

As usual on Monday, elderly people took to the streets singing songs. White-red-white flags fluttered above the human columns.
